The Sudan United Militia is a criminal organization based in the African nation of Sudan. Founded by Kolo Abduyinka, he brought together militant groups in Sudan to slaughter civilians and try to rule the nation through criminal activity.
Formerly a member of the South Sudan Liberation Movement, Kolo Abduyinka fled the group with several of his close friends in 2003. In early 2004, they recruited almost 200 members of Zande tribes across Sudan and met his second in command, ex-Sudanese Army soldier Khalil Kgore. Gathering more and more members of criminal organizations in Sudan under their rule to this day, Kgore and Abduyinka are kings of the Sudanese underworld.
December 21st 2003- Abduyinka leads a group of criminals as they abduct men to be members of their group in the town of Umm Badr.
January 4th 2005- A group of 50 men led by Kgore and Abduyinka raid a large village, killing nearly 100 civilians and stealing almost $2500.
March 30th 2005- 6 ships of men led by Kgore outnumber a group of Somali Pirates, abducting them and turning them into members of the SUM.
October 31st 2007- A small Sudanese criminal organization is attacked by almost 85% of the members of the group, stealing nearly $1.5 million and crates of weapons.
July 8th 2014- Members of the group hijack a Finnish shipping company (Dekker Industries) ship, killing the captain and first mates and abducting the crew to become members. The pirates also acquire pearls, weaponry and steel.
